Cochin Shipyard arm secure order for three 70T Bollard Pull Tugs,
Cochin Shipyard announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Udupi Cochin Shipyard has bagged another order from its existing customer and leading Indian tug operator, Ocean Sparkle (OSL), an Adani Harbor Services Limited Company. The contract, for construction of three ASD (Azimuthing Stern Drive) Tugs of 70 T Bollard Pull Power. As per the company`s order classification, the value of the order ranges between Rs 100 crore to Rs 250 crore. UCSL had earlier contracted construction of two 62 T bollard pull ASD tugs for OSL. Both these tugs were delivered by UCSL before contractual delivery dates, and have been deployed by OSL at Paradeep Port and New Mangalore Port.These new 70 Tonne Bollard Pull Tugs will have a length of 33 Mtr, Beam of 12.2 Mtr and Draft of 4.2 Mtr. They will be propelled by two Main Engines of 1838 kW, Thrusters of 2.7 Mtr Dia, Diesel Generators of 150 kW, Forward Towing Winch, Aft Winch, Deck Crane (3T) and External Fire Fighting System (FIFI-1 - 2800 Cu Mtr per Hr). These tugs, designed by Robert Allan Limited, world`s leading design house for harbour tugs, will be built under Indian Flag and classed with the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS). They will confirm to the ASTDS (Approved Standard Tug Design and Specifications), promulgated by the Government of India, in line with Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives. Cochin Shipyard consolidated net profit rises 558.06% in the March 2024 quarter,
Net profit of Cochin Shipyard rose 558.06% to Rs 258.88 crore in the quarter ended March 2024 as against Rs 39.34 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2023. Sales rose 114.31% to Rs 1286.05 crore in the quarter ended March 2024 as against Rs 600.09 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2023.For the full year,net profit rose 157.06% to Rs 783.28 crore in the year ended March 2024 as against Rs 304.71 crore during the previous year ended March 2023. Sales rose 61.99% to Rs 3830.45 crore in the year ended March 2024 as against Rs 2364.55 crore during the previous year ended March 2023. Cochin Shipyard wins order for construction of Hybrid SOV,
Cochin Shipyard has bagged an order from a European Client, for the design and construction of a Hybrid Service Operation Vessel (Hybrid SOV) with an option for two more such vessels. The company has classified the order as `Large order` valued between Rs 500-1000 crore. The vessel is equipped with hybrid battery systems to improve the energy efficiency and reduce the carbon foot prints. The vessel is designed and built for the service, maintenance and operational needs of the offshore wind farm industry in the European market where sustainable energy solutions are in high demand.
